I hate jackets. But I wouldn’t be without this one.

What makes it a year-round wear
I hate jackets, so it says something that this one has become a piece I would not do without. What changed my mind is how fast it works: throw it over a casual outfit and the whole thing reads business-y in about a second, with no other change required.
The oversized cut is what keeps it from feeling stiff or formal, so it sits comfortably over a t-shirt as well as a shirt. Mine is this exact colour and it goes with literally everything, which is the reason it gets picked up whether I’m wearing jeans or shorts. It works across seasons too, over a top in summer and a fine knit when it’s colder.
WHO WEARS THIS
For anyone who needs to look pulled together in the ten seconds before they leave.
The Person Who Dresses Casually and Occasionally Can’t: A dinner, a client, a parents’ evening. One layer covers the gap without buying an outfit for it.
The Anti-Jacket Person: If structured tailoring has always felt like too much, an oversized cut is the version that doesn’t.
The Capsule Wardrobe Builder: A neutral oversized blazer is one of the few pieces that genuinely works with everything already in the wardrobe.
The Woman With Back-to-Back Video Calls: Only the top half is visible and this does all the work. Thrown on over anything, off again the moment the call ends.
